Day 01: Yangon arrival - city sightseeing
Welcome to Myanmar! Upon arrival at the Yangon airport, your local tour guide will greet you at the airport and escort you to your hotel.
Yangon sightseeing tour includes the old colonial style city center with the gilded Sule Pagoda, dating back over 2,000 years. Bogyoke (Scotts) Market with hundreds of stores and of a gems shops. The tour continue to Chaukhtatgyi, a huge reclining Buddha image, extended visit to Shwedagon Pagoda, one of the world’s most spectacular religious monuments and the golden dome of Shwedagon Pagoda rises 98meters above picturesque garden city.
Day 02: Yangon – Heho – Kalaw sightseeing (B) (Flight)
Fly to Heho in the Shan state in the morning. Upon arrival, drive to Kalaw in the afternoon, formerly the charming British Colonial cool retreat. Explore the best attractions of this marvellous hill town, including the gold lacquered bamboo Buddha of Nee Paya, the Catholic church of Christ the King. The remainder of the day is free.
Day 03: Kalaw – trekking overnight at monastery (B, L, D)
After your breakfast, depart from your hotel to the trekking point. Trekking start to the village Baw Nying Gone. Trek by passing hills and the tea plantation, tobacco, garlic and rice fields. After 2h30 to 3h, arrive Khone Hla village where you will have lunch. After lunch, trek to Pattu Pauk village and Htee Thein Monastery. In the afternoon, you need to trek around 3 to 4 hours. Dinner and overnight in Monastery or in a local village of some of the ethnic tribes.
Day 04: Trekking to Indein – Inle lake (B)
After breakfast prepared by our team (guide+ porters), leave from monastery or the local village house around 7h00 to the direction to Inle Lake and Indein village with its numerous pagodas. You need to pass at least 4 villages of ethnics Pa-O and Intha. Visit Indein ruined temples then transfer to hotel in Nyaung Shwe.
Day 05: Inle lake sightseeing (B)
An excursion by boat on Inlay Lake to see the Intha-fishermen rowing with their legs, Pagoda on artificial islands in the lake, floating gardens, continue to Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda, one of the main principle shrines in Myanmar and dating back to the 18th century; the Nga Phe Kyaung Monastery, famous for its jumping cats trained by monks and the weaving village of Inpawkhon.
Stay overnight in Nyaung Shwe.
Day 06: Inle lake – Heho – Bagan sightseeing (B) (Flight)
Morning transfer to airport for your flight to Bagan.
Spend your full day exploring the remainder of Bagan which consists of more than 2500 temples and pagodas. This archaeological site brings us to the scared history of ancient Bagan capital with the development of Buddhism. As we travel further into the land of temple spires, Htilomino, Gawdamgangyi temples will attract your sense of curiosity with a profound impression. The highlight of this day is the sunset from the second highest temple the Shwenandaw.
Day 07: Bagan sightseeing – Yangon (B) (afternoon flight)
Head into the vibrant Nyaung Oo Market, the economic center of Bagan. At this bustling market, locals meet daily to buy and sell a variety of goods, from fruit and vegetables to clothing, china, and lacquerware. Continue to the gold-plated Shwezigon Pagoda, Bagan’s greatest reliquary, built to house relics of the Buddha brought from abroad.
Next to Ananda Temple, home to four great, gilded Buddha statues.
In the afternoon, transfer to airport for a flight to Yangon.
Day 08: Yangon – departure (B)
Free time until transfer to airport for your departure flight.
