Day 1: Arrive in Hanoi

Welcome at airport by our guide then transfer to Hanoi center.

Check-in hotel in the right center of Hanoi. Welcome drinks.

Free lunch.

Afternoon: you’ll visit the temple of Literature, Hoan Kiem Lake - the heart and soul of Hanoi with Jade Temple. After a 1-hour cyclo tour around the Old Quarter and 36 streets of Hanoi, you can visit Dong Xuan market (if you want).

Dinner is free. Overnight at hotel.

Day 2: Hanoi – Trang An (Ninh Binh) – Hanoi (B,L)

Breakfast at hotel. Departure to Ninh Binh, the 10th century ancient capital of Vietnam (about 100km in the south of Hanoi.

Excursion by boat on the Trang An river (about 3 hours) to contemplate the beautiful landscapes. Trang An is a range of limestone mountains which emerges from the water forming beautiful lakes and beautiful caves. Lunch at local restaurant. Back to Hanoi. Free dinner. Overnight at hotel.

Day 3: Hanoi – Ha Giang (B,L,D)

Breakfast at hotel. Departure to Ha Giang, a picturesque mountainous province in the North of Vietnam.

There’re several photostops on the way where you can admire the magnificent landscapes.

Lunch in the central city of Ha Giang.

Arrive in Ha Giang in the afternoon.

Dinner and overnight at hotel.

Distance: 320km – about 7 hours on mountainous road.

Day 4: Ha Giang – Yen Minh – Dong Van – Lolo Villages (B,L,D)

After breakfast, departure towards Yen Minh (about 100km). Stop on the way to take the photos of Quan Ba Skydoor and impressive landscapes panorama.

Continuation in direction to Dong Van Stone Plateau (50km). we will visit a village of Lolo who live in the pillars houses and hedges are built by stones, then to Sung La common where film Pao’s story is made.

Visit Vuong Family’s Residence, an ancient villa of Vuong Chinh Duc – who used to be regarded as a king governing Dong Van Plateau region in the late of 19th and early of 20th centuries. This villa has been recognized on National Cultural Heritage in 1993. Heading to Lung Cu flag tower (the northern most point of Vietnam – the border Vietnam-China)

You discover Dong Van Ancient Quarter, where preserves traditional beauties of the ethnic groups of Mong, Tay, Hoa. The nearly 1km-long ancient quarter comprises 40 houses built since the early 20thcentury with typical architecture of the highlands such as soil walls, stone pillars, yin-yang roof tiles, etc.

Overnight in Dong Van

Distance: 200km – about 5 hours on mountainous road, 50km on sinuous road inclus

Day 5: Dong Van – Meo Vac – Hanoi (B,L)

After breakfast, departure to Meo Vac. Stop at the top of Ma Pi Leng pass to contemplate the panorama of province and of Nho Que River.

Back to Hanoi. Free dinner.

Overnight at hotel.

Distance: 400km – about 8 hours on road.

Day 6: Hanoi (B)

Breakfast at hotel. Your free time. Overnight in hotel.

Day 7: Hanoi – Halong (B,L,D)

07:45-08:15: the mini bus will pick up at your hotel. After that we leave Hanoi for a 3.5 hour to reach Halong Bay.

12:00: At Tuan Chau International Marina, a tender boat will take you to our boat. A refreshing welcome drink is served and you can check into your cabin.

13:00: When you are putting all of your stuffs into your cabin, our boat starts gliding out to the centre of the World Heritage Site. Your lunch, at the boat’s restaurant, is would be served with fresh local seafood, but vegetable menu is always available at your request. From the marina area, our cruiser passes by Dog Head and Swan Islands, Ba Hang Floating villages (with floating houses), Incense Burner then Thumb Islands before reaching to Luon cave area for kayaking.

14:30-15:00: we have time to gear up for one hour kayaking around Luon cave area .Our guide will show you some basic safety guidelines and techniques to paddle before helping you to sit on our brand new sit-on-top kayaks. After that our boat will help you visit the Titop Island one hour for swimming, sun-bathing or getting a panoramic view on island peak.

17:00: As the sun sets over the bay, we head back to our cruise and relax. Coffee, tea and fruits will be available on the sundeck or you can order your favorite drink while our boat cruises to the night’s anchorage area.

19:00: Dinner will be served with local seafood. After dinner you may choose to enjoy drinks from the bar or top deck or experience squid fishing before retiring.

Overnight on the boat.

Day 8: Ha Long – Ha Noi (B,L)

07:00-07:45: Enjoy the morning view of the beautiful landscape with a cup of coffee or tea. Have breakfast in the fresh air.

08:00-09:00: You will visit the impressive Cave of Halong Bay – Surprising Cave (Sửng Sốt) with your tour guide, a truly awesome and amazing cave to experience.

10:00: Check out of your cabin and settle your bill as our boat begins cruising back to the harbor. Experience more views of Halong Bay such as Fighting Cocks Island (Symbol of Halong Bay), Incense Burner and Stone Dogs Islands.

10:20: A cooking demonstration onboard shows you how to make authentic Vietnamese Spring rolls. You will learn about the recipes and techniques that create this popular dish of Vietnamese people.

10:45: Lunch is served on board during cruising towards the harbor.

12:00: Depart and travel by tender boat back to Tuan Chau International Marina where you then board the bus for your return journey to Hanoi.

Arrive in Hanoi around 17:30.

Evening: Enjoy the Water Puppet Show.

Free dinner. Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 9: Hanoi – Hue (B)

Breakfast at hotel then transfer to airport for the flight to Hue.

Arrive in Hue, ancient capital of Vietnam under the Tay Son (1788-1802) and the Nguyen (1802-1945). Hue is the tourist center of Vietnam, recognized by UNESCO in 1993. Check-in hotel.

Afternoon: visit of Imperial Citadel, Dong Ba market.

Free dinner. Overnight in Hue.

Day 10: Hue – Danang – Hoi An (B)

Breakfast at hotel.

Morning: 3 hours by boat on Huong River to visit Minh Mang’s Tomb and Thien Mu Pagoda.

Free lunch.

Afternoon: departure to Hoi An following the No 1 national road, a picturesque road between sea and mountain that overhangs magnificent beaches and passes sublime Hai Van pass. Stop in the Sculpture Village on Marble Mountain.

Free dinner. Overnight at hotel.

Day 11: Hoi An (B)

After breakfast, free visit of this charming small historic city classified World Cultural Heritage by UNESCO in 1999. It perfectly illustrates the precepts of the Vietnamese traditional architecture and refinement that comes out at the sight of her pretty Bridge Japanese, old houses dating for some more three hundred years. Continue to the museum by its market.

Overnight in Hoi An.

Day 12: Hoi An – Kim Bong – Tra Nhieu – Tra Que (B,L)

Start your trip by embarking on the ferry crossing the Thu Bon River until Kim Bong, the carpenter village.

Arrive in Kim Bong, you will meet craftsmen who work in workshop of naval construction. You can discover the wooden sculpture products of Mr. Huynh Ri or the mosaic and nacre handicrafts of Mr. Phuc.

Afterwards, you will resume cycling on the trails to visit Mr. Kha 85 years old, who manufactures boats baskets of woven bamboo.

Continue your bike ride to the village of Tra Nhieu, in the middle of the river Song Thu you will listen to the presentation of the history of the war and their activities. You will pass from island to island via unusual bridges made of wood or bamboo.

After a leisurely cruise on the River Song Thu you will continue to the village of vegetable Tra Que. You will arrive at Mr Minh who welcomes you with a fresh drink "basil juice".

You will start with an introduction very smooth and full of flavor uses and local knowledge: so you will know all about the history of the village, the method of vegetable crops, the use of medicinal plants, the Vietnamese Pharmacopoeia.

Then visit the gardens of the village where you will be explained: the fertilization of the soil of the land with the algae from the river in the company of gardeners. The morning will continue with other gardening activities.

For relaxation, there is a foot bath in the medicinal water with massage for 30 minutes, then relax before attending the preparation of lunch with his family. Delicious and delicate local dishes are served, including: Tam Huu, Banh Xeo (something like sizzling crepe)

Back in town. Free dinner and overnight at hotel.

Day 13: Hoi An – Da Nang – Siem Reap (B,D)

Breakfast at hotel.

Your free time.

13:00: Transfer to airport for the flight to  Siem Reap.

Welcome by Cambodian guide and transfer to hotel in city.

Dinner in city. Overnight in Siem Reap.

Day 14: Siem Reap (B)

Breakfast at hotel.

Departure to visit Angkor Wat – one of the seven greatest architectural wonders of the world, as a temple and mausoleum for King Suryavarman II at the peak of the Khmer empire in the first half of 12th.

Visit the wonderful Angkor Thom (the Great City) including the Southern Gate, famous Bayon temple (12th century in the centre of city remains one the most enigmatic temples of the Angkor group composed of 54 gothic towers decorated with 216 smiling faces of Avalokitesvara. Baphuon temple is lying just to the north of Bayon a pyramidal representation of mythical Mont Meru. Terrace of Elephants used as a giant reviewing stand for public ceremonies and served as a base for the king’s grand audience hall; Terrace of the Leper King a platform 7m high, with statue.

Contemplate the sunset on Bakheng hill.

Overnight in Siem Reap.

Day 15: Sieam Reap – Banteay Srei (B)

Breakfast at hotel.

We continue further north to Banteay Srei, Angkor’s ultimate art gallery. This petite pink temple is the jewel in the crown of Angkor-era sculpture. The elaborate carvings here are the finest found in Cambodia and the name translates as ‘Fortress of the Women’, thanks to the intricate detail here, considered too fine for the hands of a man. On the way back, stop at Bantey Samre (12th century). Lunch in restaurant.

Afternoon: visit Ta Prhom, Banteay Kdei, Srah Srang.

Overnight in Siem Reap.

Day 16: Siem Reap – Sai Gon (B)

Breakfast at hotel.

8:00: transfer to airport for the flight to Saigon.

Welcome by our driver and transfer to city. Check in hotel.

Afternoon: city sightseeing tour, Reunification Hall, Jade temple, Notre Dame Cathedral, Ben Thanh market…

Overnight in Saigon.

Day 17: Saigon – Cai Be Floating Market – Mekong Lodge (B, L, D)

Breakfast at hotel.

8:00: Heading to Cai Be (about 120km from Saigon). Arrive in Cai Be wharf, take the boat to Mekong Lodge.

Lunch in restaurant.

15:00: Promenade by bicycle around Tan Phong Island. Visit an orchard (2 hours). Turn back to Mekong Lodge.

Participation in cooking class then dinner in restaurant.

Overnight in Mekong Lodge. Riverside Bar is opened until midnight.

Day 18: Cai Be – Saigon (B,L)

7:00-8:00: Breakfast at hotel

8:00: Excursion on boat to visit Cai Be floating market, a typical market of habitant of Mekong Delta.

Then transfer to Mekong Lodge.

11:30: Check out bungalow.

Back to wharf by boat. Lunch at restaurant.

You return to Saigon by bus. Overnight in Saigon.

Day 19: Saigon (B)
