Vietnam Must–Sees Special Tour In 12 Days
Upon arrival, pick up and transfer to your hotel in Hanoi downtown. Join a city tour to the Temple of Literature, the first university of Vietnam and the Museum of Ethnology, one of the most interesting museums in Hanoi. The rest of the day is for free. Meals are on your own. Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 2: Hanoi – Halong – Hanoi (B, L)
This morning, take a shuttle bus to Halong Bay. On the half way, stop to visit crafts workshops with many marble stone sculptures, plaque paintings and hand-embroidered items. Upon arrival, get on the cruise and enjoy a hearty lunch while the ship sails through hundreds of magnificent limestone islands and islets including Cho Da (Stone Dog), Lu Huong (Incense Burner), Ba Hang Fishing Village and Ngon Tay (Fingers) Islets. Stop to visit “Ga Choi” or “Fighting Cock” Island – the symbol of Halong for a few minutes and Thien Cung (Heavenly Palace Grotto). Return to Halong pier and drive back to Hanoi. Dinner on your own and overnight in Hanoi.
In the early morning, transfer from Hanoi to Sapa which is the homeland of many ethnic groups such as H’mong, Dzao and Tay. Arrive in Sapa at noon. After check in your hotel, you will be free to explore the town. Meals are on your own and overnight in Sapa.
Day 4: Sapa – Lao Chai – Ta Van – Sapa (B, L)
Today, you will join a full morning trek to the first destination, Y Linh Ho. From there, you will trek through rice terraces and follow Muong Hoa Stream to reach Lao Chai village, the main residential area of Black H’mong village and continue to trek about 9 km for 4 hours to reach Ta Van village, home to Dzay ethnic group. Pick up at Ta Van Bridge to back to the town. Free in the afternoon. Dinner is on your own and overnight in Sapa.
Day 5: Sapa – Local Market (Depending On The Day Of The Week) – Lao Cai – Train Back to Hanoi (B, L)
Early morning, participate in the vibrant atmosphere of the local market, full of stalls displaying hand-crafted products peddled by people from various hill tribes. Lunch included. Dinner is on your own. Transfer to Lao Cai train station in Lao Cai City for night train back to Hanoi. Overnight on train.
Day 6: Hanoi Arrival – Flight to Hue – City Tour
Arrive in Hanoi early in the morning, you will be picked up and transferred directly to the airport for your flight to Hue. From there, start an excellent city tour to the Ancient Citadel containing the former Imperial Palace which is similar to the Forbidden City in Beijing and Tu Duc Tomb. Meals on your own and overnight in Hue.
After breakfast, our driver will take you to Hoian. Free at the rest of the day to explore Hoian. Meals are on your own. Overnight in Hoian.
Today, you will explore Hoian’s central market by bicycle and learn some ingredients for your next cooking class. Continue to cycle to Tra Que village where has many herb gardens from 300 years ago. Prepare to join a fun-filling cooking class with traditional dishes and enjoy it by yourself. Return to your hotel. Dinner is on your own and overnight in Hoian.
Day 9: Hoian – Danang – Fly to Ho Chi Minh City. Half Day City Tour (B)
After breakfast, you will take a flight to Saigon and then spend time explore Saigon via our exciting half-day city tour. Sites included the Reunification Palace, Central Post office, Notre Dame Cathedral, and War Museum. Return to your hotel. Meals are on your own. Overnight in Saigon.
Today, you will spend half of the day to visit Cu Chi Tunnel which is 60km from Saigon. Upon arrival, a short documentary film will be displayed before exploring the Ben Dinh section of tunnel for the next couple of hours. Return to Saigon and free at the rest of the day. Meals are on your own and overnight in Saigon.
Day 11: Ho Chi Minh City – Mekong Full Day – Ho Chi Minh City (B, L)
Morning transfer to Ben Tre. You will then join a boat trip to visit small brick factories, a coconut processing workshop and a local mat-weaving house. Try “xe loi” (motorized trishaw) for the first time. After lunch, we provide you a biking trip and then a sampan to travel along the picturesque canals. Back to visit Ben Tre local market and then return to Saigon. Dinner is on your own and overnight in Saigon.
Day 12: Ho Chi Minh City – Departure (B, L)
Transfer to airport for flight back home. Home sweet home.
