Vietnam – Cambodia Historical Tour 14 Days – 13 Nights
Day 1: Hanoi arrival (L/D)
Arrive in Hanoi. Welcome by our guide and transfer to the city. A small panoramic tour of the capital.
Lunch at local restaurant.
Visit the Quan Thanh Temple, Tran Quoc Pagoda, Hoan Kiem Lake, Ngoc son temple.
Rickshaw in 36 corporations quarter of Hanoi.
Evening: water puppet show.
Dinner at the restaurant. Overnight at hotel.
Day 2: Hanoi – Yen Bai – Suoi Giang, Yen Bai (B/L/D)
Depart for Yen Bai (180 km from Hanoi) and then continue to Suoi Giang (city Van Chan). Suoi Giang is located at 1.371 m above the sea level is the cradle of very green tea known as “Che Tuyet”.
Photo stops and visit the villages of the Hmong. Lunch en route. Back to Yen Bai. Dinner and overnight at the guest house.
Day 3: Yen Bai – Ba Be (B/L/D)
Departure for Ba Be via Bac Kan. Lunch en route.
Overnight home stay in Pac Ngoi village – Tay’s village (house on stilts).
Day 4: Ba Be (B/L/D)
After breakfast, boat trip on the river Nang to visit Ba Be lake named “Three Bays”, Puong grotto and Dau Dang waterfall (5-7 hours).
Guided walking tour of the village. Lunch at local restaurant. Dinner and overnight at the inhabitant.
Day 5: Be Be Cao Bang (B/L/D)
After breakfast, departure to Cao Bang. Lunch en route. Several photo stops at the long road.
Visit the waterfall Ban Gioc between Sino – Vietnamese border. Dinner and overnight at the guest house.
Day 6: Cao Bang – Dong Khe, That Khe, Lang Son (B/L/D)
After breakfast, depart for Lang Son Dong Khe then via That Khe, historical sites or French defeated in 1950. Lunch en route. Arrival in Lang Son. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 7: Lang Son – Hanoi (B/L/D)
Breakfast at the hotel. Visit the cave Tam Thanh. Return to Hanoi. Lunch en route. Arrive in Hanoi in the late afternoon. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 8: Hanoi – Siem Reap (B/L/D)
Visit the mausoleum of Ho Chi Minh (outside), One Pillar Pagoda, Temple of Literature, and Museum of Ethnography. Lunch at the restaurant. Transfer to airport for flight to Siem Reap.
Arrival at the airport of Siem Reap. Welcome by Cambodian guide and transfer to hotel. Dinner. Overnight at hotel.
Day 9: Siem Reap (B/L/D)
Breakfast at the hotel and departure to visit Angkor Thom, the South Gate of Angkor Thom, vast architectural complex which is accessed by five monumental gates and having at its center the Bayon, famous for its towers with 172 faces Avalokitesvara, temple Baphoun. Walk into the former Royal Palace where is the sanctuary Phimeanakas, then discovered the Terrace of Elephants and the Leper King.
Lunch at local restaurant.
Afternoon: Departure to visit Angkor Wat and Phnom Bakheng hill. Dinner at local restaurant and overnight at the hotel.
Day 10: Siem Reap (B/L/D)
Breakfast at the hotel. Morning discovery of Banteay Srey “city of women” and continue to visit Banteay Samre. Lunch at the restaurant.
Afternoon: visit the big circuit: Neak Paon, Preah Khan, Ta Som, East Mebon and Pre Rup. Dinner at local restaurant and overnight at the hotel.
Day 11: Siem Reap – Phnom Penh (B/L/D)
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the pier for express boat to Phnom Penh (5 hours on the Tonle Sap Lake, only in the high water season (February – August). Arrive in Phnom Penh, transfer to hotel Lunch at local restaurant.
Afternoon: city tour with Independence Monument, Wat Phnom (Pagoda Mountain), National Museum and walk along the quay Sisovath on the Mekong River. Dinner at local restaurant and overnight at the hotel.
Day 12: Phnom Penh / / Saigon (B/L/D)
Breakfast at the hotel.
Morning: visit to the capital: Royal Palace, Silver Pagoda and Russian market. Lunch at the restaurant.
Afternoon: free time until transfer to International airport for departure to Saigon.
Arrival in Saigon. Welcome and transfer to hotel in town.
Visit Saigon Cathedral, Central Post Office, Chinatown “Cho Lon”, Thien Hau Temple. Dinner in town.
Day 13: Saigon – Cai Be – Vinh Long – Saigon (B/L/D)
Early morning departure by bus from Saigon to visit Mekong Delta.
We cross landscapes of rice fields before arriving in Cai Be where we board a boat to visit the floating market, which is typical of the life of Mekong’s inhabitants. We also go to An Binh Island and we walk through small canals. Visit a workshop of honey and coconut milk caramel.
In the afternoon, return to Saigon. Lunch en route. Dinner and overnight in Saigon.
Day 14: Saigon (B)
Free time until transfer to airport for departure flight. End of program.
